The earth spirit is constructed of high-fired stoneware & porcelain ceramics. The foundation for many; of my pieces is thrown on the potter's wheel. The process of sprigging (applying clay) begins. I have a passion for textures, unique firing processes (raku, wood pit fire, oxidation & reduction) & transparent glazes. Many of my pieces are embellished using ceramic stamp impressions I have collected from fountains, adobes, and missions. To enhance the textures of my pieces I use an assortment of oxides and mason stains. The earth spirits are ready for their final firing, removed and brought to life in your home or office.
